Phase 2: Rear Engine Installation

after transporting the car to another workshop, it was time to get our Mi16 engine out of
the garage to put it where it belongs and matters the most - in the back of the 205 Mi32 :lol:

twin ceramic/metal discs, will it not be hard to get them syncronized? even with the huydralic system..

sorry for the delay, caused by web-access problems.

in this update, to conclude the Phase 3 story, we make the dual-gearshift system.

after nearly 2 weeks of engineering, hard work and a lot of sweat... Phase 3 is complete!

well if you take a better look, you'll see he was using a mask in some pics.

in others (where he spot welded), it was easier to just close the eyes for a second.

sorry for the long delay, due to a computer crash, data loss and recovery and
system reinstallation on top of having a lot of commercial design work to do!

Phase 4: Coolant Radiator & Exhaust System

Phase 4 story is all about fitting a large customised radiator:

and constructing both front and rear engine exhaust systems:

so we could start the front engine next.

this time it only took three full days of intensive work to complete the phase

great work!!

gets me depressed since i don't have a garage now though... very motivation thread

btw, won't you put a lot of heat in the rear tires with your exhausts ending like that? i guess it wont matter on the dragstrip, but I think it may be wise to consider it if going to track.

after completing front engine's cooling and exhaust systems, we hard-wired an external
405 fuel pump to start the front engine after several months of being out of use...

it started without problems, apart from expected noisy hydraulic lifters.

in the second part of the Phase 5 story, we continue work on rear engine's coolant system:

and after testing the wiring and all the sensors, we get the engine started:

after completing rear engine's electrics and cooling system, we attempt
and manage to start the rear engine for the very first time!

it started fine, with the grease on the exhaust manifold burning off a bit.
